03Use of Data for Machine-Learning Model Training
Nacre develops machine-learning systems designed to understand, predict, and improve manufacturing and industrial processes.
Information or data submitted through certain Nacre services may be used to train, evaluate, validate, test, or improve Nacre's machine-learning models, algorithms, and analytical systems.
Where appropriate, we seek to minimize the amount of personal information used for these purposes and may remove, transform, aggregate, or pseudonymize identifying information before model training.
We Do Not Retain Submitted Training Data
Nacre does not retain the underlying data submitted for model training after the applicable processing or training operation has been completed, unless retention is:
- specifically requested or authorized by the customer;
- necessary to provide a separately agreed service; or
- required by applicable law.
Although the underlying submitted data is not retained, machine-learning systems may retain generalized mathematical relationships, parameters, weights, statistical patterns, or other learned representations produced through the training process.
These generalized model outputs are not intended to reproduce, identify, or expose the original information submitted by any particular user or customer.
Nacre does not intentionally use model training to reconstruct or reveal confidential or personally identifying information about individual users.
04Customer and Confidential Business Data
Nacre recognizes that industrial and manufacturing data may contain confidential business information even when it does not constitute personal information.
Where information is provided to Nacre under a separate customer agreement, pilot agreement, nondisclosure agreement, data-processing agreement, or similar contract, that agreement may establish additional restrictions governing the information.
In the event of a conflict between this Privacy Policy and a specific contractual commitment governing confidential customer data, the applicable contractual terms will control to the extent provided in that agreement.
05Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide services, respond to communications, maintain appropriate business records, protect our systems, and comply with legal obligations.
Different categories of information may therefore have different retention periods.
As described above, data submitted for model training is not retained following completion of the applicable processing or training operation, except where otherwise authorized, contractually agreed, or legally required.
Information submitted through ordinary business communications, such as contact forms or email correspondence, may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain our business relationship and records.
08International Data Processing
Nacre Systems Inc. is a United States company.
If you access our website or services from outside the United States, your information may be transmitted to and processed in the United States or other countries in which Nacre or its service providers operate.
Privacy and data-protection laws in those jurisdictions may differ from the laws of your country.
Where applicable, Nacre will take reasonable measures to provide appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information and comply with applicable cross-border data-transfer requirements.

If you are located in the Republic of Korea, Nacre will process personal information in accordance with applicable requirements of the Korean Personal Information Protection Act ("PIPA") where the law applies to our activities.
